Bargaining Committee
Update
2/8/17
The Bargaining Committee met with Arconic Brass on 2/7/17 to exchange
“Non-Economic” proposals to kick off our first round of contract
negotiations under the “Arconic” Brand. We were given the typical power
point presentation of how the company is performing currently along with
the usual last 5 year trends that the company formerly known as “Alcoa,
Inc.” has performed at.
The Bargaining Committee feels extremely confident and optimistic that
our task of returning to the Membership with a fair and equitable
agreement for your approval will be our absolute focus in these upcoming
weeks. We are well prepared, experienced, dedicated and with the support
of our International Union and their many resources, we believe that the
Bargaining Chip (97%) you have all provided the Committee will be an
extremely positive force at the table. We will communicate as necessary
to keep you all as informed of how negotiations are progressing but rest
assured that you will “ALL” be given the opportunity to view
the details surrounding these negotiations sometime after
February 28, 2017 at 11:59PM. Our
next meeting date will be next Wednesday 2/15/17 in Columbus. In Solidarity, UAW Local 1050 |
