This year’s UAW
Local 1050 Family Day event will be
held
at Pioneer Waterland Park, Chardon, OH on Saturday, July 17th;
one day before our membership meeting. Prices for this event have
not been determined ( probably $13 or less )…I will have more
information by the February membership meeting.Pioneer Waterland allows you to bring in your own food and
beverages
(no glass items). The Recreation Committee will also have a raffle
that will start in April with great prizes to win. If you want to
see what the park has to offer please go to

water slides, go-kart
racing, volleyball and basketball. Maps and directions are available
on the Pioneer Waterland website.
Those of you that have questions about why we are not going to Cedar
Point, well,
I’m currently waiting to hear back from the company
about still having this joint event (with all the unions
on the lot). The plan was to do something on
Saturday, August 7th.
Hopefully,
we can continue to partner together at least once a
year and keep this great discount on tickets going. If you have any

Also this summer will be the UAW’s 75th
anniversary (Local 1050 celebrated its 60th
in 2008). Stay tuned for additional information.
